Steam Measurement

We offer three lines of flowmeters for the measurement of saturated or superheated steam, including:

  • Pro-V™ Model M22 inline vortex shedding flowmeters that are ideal for compensated mass flow measurements of either saturated or superheated steam with line sizes from 1/2 inch to 8 inches (DN25 to DN200), saturation or superheat temperatures up to 750 deg F (400 deg C), and pressures to ANSI class 1500 (PN 250).
  • Pro-V™ Model M23 insertion vortex shedding flowmeters are ideal for compensated mass flow measurements of saturated or super heated steam with lines sizes from 2 inches to 72 inches, saturation or superheat temperatures up to 750 deg F (400 deg C), and pressures to ANSI class 1500 (PN 250).
  • Turbo Pro™ Model Pro-T™ insertion turbine mass flowmeters that are ideal for compensated mass flow measurements of saturated or super heated steamline in line sizes from 2 inches or greater, temperatures from -450 to 850 deg F (-267 to 455 deg C), and pressures to ANSI Class 1500 (PN 250).

With the addition of a second RTD input, the energy transported by the steam can be both measured and totalized. The most commonly used flowmeters for steam measurement are listed at left.
